Degaset – Mortar and Screed

Degaset Mortar and Screed solution by Degafloor

Based on advanced fast curing resin technology the Degafloor Degaset Mortar and Screed solution has been developed as a low-cost repair mortar and underlay screed solution. The unique formulation of the product allows slump-free placement, and the consistency enables the product to be shaped to create ramps, falls and to complete the most complex of repairs.

Despite concrete and screed being mainly made from similar materials (cement, aggregates and water), screed is a finer solution that is most commonly used as a finishing layer on internal floors or to level the floor prior to final floor coverings carpet, tiles, natural stone, linoleum, wood flooring, resin coatings etc.

The Degaset Mortar and Screed solution can be bulked out with a range of natural quartz sizes to enable application from depths of 5 to 50mm in a single layer. It can also be pigmented to create a lightly textured surface that can be sealed to enhance the finish and maximise performance characteristics.

We also supply a 5-year Warranty pothole repair product, Degafill, which is designed for repairs within asphalt which is currently going through the HAPAS process. This can be purchased from the Degafloor shop but you can view a video of how the kit works here.

How to use the Degaset mortar and screed solution

All substrates must be clean, dry and free from contamination i.e. dust, dirt, oil, laitance, curing compounds and other contaminants.

The substrate should be capable of accepting a resin finish and this is best achieved by mechanical means (shot blasting, planning or diamond grinding) although this may not always be possible due to the size and shape of the area to be repaired.

If surface preparation is not practical, please complete a bond test to check whether strong adhesion can be achieved.

The substrate should be primed using Degafloor 112 primer applied at approx. 0.4 kg per square metre.

When priming ensure any edges are also primed.

Chemical Resistance

Chemical resistance Excellent chemical resistance to acids, oils, alkalines, salts, cleaning agents and foodstuffs.

Cure Times

Degafloor Degaset Mortar and Screed solution cures fully within just 1 hour of installation (both chemically and physically). The cure time remains unaffected at temperatures down to 5°C.

Available pack sizes

Degaset Mortar and screed solution is created by mixing a 1.2 kg unit of resin with a 15 kg bag of filler, activator and additives.
