Client: Anglia Co-operative
Location: Sawtry, Cambridgeshire
When fast developing Sawtry community started outgrowing the local Anglia Co-operative store, a decision was made to move to larger premises. However, before the new store could offer its customers the best shopping experience, it had to undergo major renovation, including installation of a new flooring system.
Lindum Sturgeon was appointed to complete the works and to ensure all project requirements were met, including continuity of brand identity throughout.
Having consulted The National Flooring Company Ltd, Lindum Sturgeon opted for the Degafloor Flake System, which due to its many benefits proves extremely effective in retail environments. The back of house areas were coated with the Degafloor Seal System, a mono-colour solution that provided a protective layer over the concrete. The majority of the area was coated in grey with yellow highlights for deliveries.
The objective of this project was to provide a resilient flooring system that would be tough enough to cope with heavy everyday traffic, yet flexible enough in terms of design to not only fit in well with existing branding colour scheme, but also to enhance the overall look of the newly refurbished store.
Extreme durability, outstanding slip resistance, ease of maintenance and beautiful aesthetics were only some of the reasons why the Flake System was chosen for the project.
The client was also highly impressed with its ultra fast two hour cure time, which enabled the contractors to carry out the works with minimal disruption to the fast track programme.
Much to the satisfaction of Anglia Co-operative, all objectives were met and the project has been very well received by the local community.< Back to Case Studies
