Who said good things come to those who wait...
Rather than offer a complex range of products, all with different core benefits, we at Degafloor work on the principle that certain performance criteria are a pre-requisite. As such, all our flooring systems provide the following outstanding features and benefits...

Fully cured in just 2 hours at temperatures down to -30°C
Minimum downtime, rapid refurbishment, fast track new builds
Quite simply, no other type of resin floor can be installed and ready for full operational use as fast as an MMA system.
The unique characteristics of Degafloor resins mean that all stages of installation (priming, coating and sealing) can be undertaken with minimal waiting time between applications and that just 2 hours after installation is complete, Degafloor systems are ready for full use.Other resin systems have significantly longer curing periods both between installation stages and to ultimate cure. Many of our competitors will claim a cure time of as low as twelve hours, but this will be to physical cure allowing light foot traffic. Full chemical cure allowing these systems to be returned to full operational use can take anywhere between 4 - 10 days dependent on temperature. The curing process of methyl methacrylate systems is unaffected by temperature and hence the 2 hour cure can be achieved in temperatures as low as -30°C, thus avoiding the cost and inconvenience of raising temperatures.
Exceptional bond to concrete, steel, tiles, other resins and marine ply
Ability to overlay existing floors, minimal disruption, reduced costs
Degafloor’s unique reactive primers key deep into the substrate. For steel, tile and damp substrates, unique additives are used to tailor the primer to the specific on-site conditions.
The outstanding characteristics of our primer technology, coupled with an unrivalled range of body coat and seal resins allow us to complete installations in the most challenging of situations, often without the need to remove existing finishes, thus avoiding significant cost, mess and disruption. The time savings alone that can be achieved by using Degafloor to overlay existing finishes has made us the product of choice for many companies in a vast range of industries.
Chemical bond between layers, creating a truly monolithic floor
Outstanding durability, can be easily refurbished and repaired
Degafloor’s unique reactive primers key deep into the substrate. Each additional layer of the floor then chemically fuses to the next, effectively creating a monolithic system that will not de-laminate regardless of load or thermal variation (within systems design parameters).
With polyurethane and epoxy-based floors, the bond between coatings is purely mechanical - coatings could be separated from each other, increasing the risk of de-lamination during use and therefore, early floor failure. In contrast, Degafloor systems ‘fuse’ chemically to earlier coatings, creating a reliable, monolithic structure where the layers cannot be separated. This unique feature also allows for rapid, permanent upgrades and repairs, at a fraction of the cost of a full new system.
Tailored decorative and slip resistant finishes
Bespoke installations, outstanding safety, matches to existing floor finishes
Degafloor systems can be supplied in a wide range of colour variations, from either our standard ranges or by mixing and matching to a clients exact requirements to create a bespoke finish. We can also create matches to existing on-site finishes or competitor products, all we need is a sample.
Additionally, due to the high viscosity of our resins and advanced installation techniques, installations can be completed without the trowel marks that detract from the installation of other resin types (especially polyurethanes). All Degafloor systems offer slip resistant performance designed to meet the latest operating practices. As such, performance with like for like products is second to none. For industrial type finishes, Degafloor’s anti-slip properties are built in to the structure of the floor - quartz aggregates are broadcast into the uncured resin and become suspended close to the surface to give the floor the desired anti-slip texture. This texture is permanently sealed in by applying finishing coats of Degafloor resin (remember: each resin coating fuses chemically to the last, so the Degafloor aggregates cannot be removed from the floor’s surface). The result? An extremely hardwearing, evenly textured floor finish that will retain its slip-resistant properties throughout its agreed design life.Additionally, the surface texture of our systems can be tailored to the specific needs of each installation, allowing site specific requirements to be met.
Seamless and impermeable
Easy to clean, hygienic, outstanding durability
Degafloor meets or exceeds all international food processing and hygiene standards (inc. EU and FDA).
All systems are totally impermeable to liquids, can be installed without joints and do not suffer from pinholes which can harbour bacteria.Contrast Degafloor with:Tiles: problems are associated with joints and poor slip-resistance, particularly in wet / greasy conditions - Degafloor is often used to over-coat or replace tiled floors.Epoxy: plasticisers, present in some epoxy floors, can ‘wash-out’ over time, leaving a floor that is brittle and difficult to clean.Polyurethane: polyurethane floors tend to ‘pin-hole’. These tiny holes, masked by the top coat of resin, are exposed with wear to leave a floor that is unsuitable for areas where hygiene is important. Poor slip-resistance is also a common problem. Degafloor is often used to resurface this type of floor.
Elastic and does not shrink
Ideal for low temperature installations, excellent resistance to cracking, better detailing, outstanding durability
Each Degafloor installation is unique. The choice of resins will follow a detailed assessment of site conditions to deliver outstanding performance. All of our resins offer a degree of flexibility to ensure that neat and durable detailing can be achieved. In environments where cracking may be an issue, we use our highly flexible resins.Due to the outstanding shrink resistant characteristics of our resins, we are able to finish our floors directly up to gulleys, channels, manhole covers and many other areas, where lesser systems will require an infill using a flexible ‘foreign’ material (i.e. not the same resin as the floor). The introduction of a ‘foreign’ material often causes the weak point at which other floor finishes fail. This situation is avoided by using Degafloor creating truly unrivalled durability.
Exceptional resistance to chemical and physical attack
Outstanding durability
Degafloor systems exhibit outstanding resistance to chemical attack and damage from impact, abrasion and aggressive mechanical wear.
Degafloor is highly resistant to a wide range of aggressive chemicals, including: most organic and mineral acids; alkalis; salt solutions; petrochemicals; natural oils and fats; disinfectants and cleansers; and fruit and vegetable juices. The results of chemical resistance tests are available on request; and with access to some of the world’s most advanced testing facilities dedicated to this area, we will also be pleased to discuss any concerns about the effect of specific compounds on Degafloor. Our reliable resin floors have been installed in some of industry’s most challenging conditions - in food and chemical processing, loading and distribution areas, engineering workshops, and in many retail, leisure and other commercial applications. Degafloor has been used by many of the UK’s largest companies and a great many smaller independent businesses.A vast number of installations over the past 35 years have now benefited from the advanced resin technology on which Degafloor is based. As a testament to the quality and durability of the product, many of these floors are still in use.
Highly resistant to UV light, weathering and temperatures up to 80°C
Colour stable, can be installed outside, ideal for almost any environment
All Degafloor systems are fully UV stable, so will not suffer aesthetically over time, a benefit that non-MMA resin systems cannot provide.
We can install our systems both internally and externally due to the high resistance to weathering, thermal cycling and wear. All Degafloor systems are resistant to constant exposure to liquids and objects of up to 800C, making them suitable for pressure washing and ideal for almost all production environments.
